The Certified Protection Professional (CPP) is considered the “Gold Standard” for security management professionals.

This certification validates your knowledge in seven key areas of security management. Eligibility requirements include 15 years of security experience and at least 8 years in security management; in responsible charge of a security function.

Back in February 2008, I achieved this professional designation after taking a tough, five hour exam which required at least four months of study.
